VITAMIN B8

What is vitamin B8?

Vitamin B8, also called biotin, is needed for the energy supply of the body. It converts carbs, fats and protein into the smaller pieces of energy your body needs to function. It also helps keeping your hair, skin and nervous system functioning normally.

With a shortage of this vitamin you have a high risk of getting a depression, anaemia or skin disorders. A shortage of this vitamin however is rare, and will only exist if you eat a lot of raw eggs.

There is no recommended amount given for this vitamine.
