What is vitamin A?
Vitamin A is solvable in fat and needed for all kinds of processes in the body.
It's good for growth, a healthy skin, hair and nails. Likewise it functions for the immune system and adjustments of the eyes.
A shortage of vitamin A can cause skin problems, dull hair and (night)blindness.
Too much of vitamin A can cause poisoning. The symptoms of this are headaches, nausea, dizziness and fatigue.
The recommended amount of vitamin A per day is 0,9 milligrams for an adult male and 0,7 milligrams for an adult female.
